Radio, Clubs, Mix-Tapes:

For over 2 years, DJ JON's "Hip Hop Dance Night" at The Better End in Portland was the biggest dance night Portland had ever seen, until 2001 when Jon began performing weekly at The Asylum on Saturday nights, simulcast on WRED95.9-FM (Maine's first and only commercial Hip Hop radio Station). Since its inception, this night drew 800 people strong every week, and WRED's ratings went through the roof as a result of the simulcast. They were such a success, in fact, that WRED hired Jon as their drive time DJ.

In 2004, Jon was once again voted the # 1 DJ in Portland, Maine for the fourth time since hitting the scene as a club DJ. Jon's insight, experience and diversity was the reason for this success. The club night at Asylum was the biggest hip hop club night Portland had ever seen. Boasting 500-700 people every saturday night with guest appearances by major label celebrities.

In addition to radio, clubs, and concert performances DJ JON has released several prominent national Mix-CDs hosted by platinum selling artists including 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, Xzibit, Mobb Deep, Fabolous, Juelz Santana, The Boston Celtics Ricky Davis among others. Jon has also released a series of nationally selling club and radio remix records which continue to be extremely well received. Many of Jon's remixes are heard in clubs and radio all over the United States, Europe and Japan. As Jon's reputation began to grow nationally he was able to connect with the League DJ crew consisting of other prominent DJs like Mick Boogie, DJ Premier, DJ Khaled, and DJ Cassidy.

In late 2005, DJ JON WAS PROMOTED TO Music Director and Mix Show Coordinator at WRED. He works closely with major and independent record labels to give WRED a credible, informed and successful sound and image. In addition, Jon has been working with area clubs and event promoters. He and local promoter Dori Hart began an experimental 80s night at Bubbas Sulky Lounge in 2004. It was an instant smash success. In 2006, this 80s night has remained the club's most popular dance night with mostly word of mouth promotion. Now 80's night is strained at capacity every friday night at Bubba's Sulky Lounge.

In 2008, DJ Jon still rocks clubs in Portland. Thursday night begins with UNA in Portland's old port, with "Ladies night. Free for ladies every Thursday night"

Of course Bubbas Sulky Lounge Friday nights with the now infamous 80s night, which is at capacity every Friday.

Saturday nights are back at the Asylum with 50 CENT DRAFTS, $2.50 WELL DRINKS AND LADIES IN FREE ALL NIGHT!!! EVERY SATURDAY.

Check DJ Jon out LIVE every week, and see for yourself why he is truly Portland's #1 DJ year after year.
